I received my visa yesterday, two weeks before I jump on the plane. A week ago I got an e-mail explaining that my signed "Certificate of Graduation" from the University of Iowa wasn't enough to certify my graduation. I needed to forward my transcripts, and if they didn't receive them in 4 days my visa would be denied. Between all the personal financial documents, academic history, and biometrics I'm surprised they didn't require the approval of a naked picture.
God that passport photograph experience was awkward. "Sir, I don't think my head is going to be in that picture."
Those Europeans are so arty.
